Infrared interactive whiteboard (Indesign IR IWB), is a largeinteractive display
that connects to a computer and projector. A projector projects thecomputer''s
desktop onto the board''s surface where users control the computerusing a pen,finger or
other device. The board is typically mounted to a wall or floorstand.
Software then manipulates the information to triangulate thelocation of the
marker or stylus. This technology allows whiteboards to be made ofany material;
with this system no dry-erase marker or stylus is needed. The IRIWB is used in
a variety of settings, including classrooms at all levels ofeducation, in corporate
board rooms and work groups,in training rooms, for professionalsports coaching, in
broadcasting studios and more.
